The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has announced the provisional squads for the Kenya Men’s Sevens team, Shujaa, and the Kenya Women’s Sevens team, Lionesses, ahead of their upcoming start of season.
The selected players will commence training on Thursday, 16 September 2026, at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi, where they will begin preparations under the technical teams.
The provisional squads comprise a blend of experienced internationals and emerging talent, with the selections reflecting the players’ recent performances, form, fitness, and contribution to the national Sevens programme.

The selection camp will provide the technical teams with an opportunity to assess the players, fine-tune tactical approaches, build cohesion, and prepare the teams for the competitive assignments ahead.
KRU Director of Rugby and the respective technical teams will oversee the training programme, with players expected to adhere to the team’s high-performance standards throughout the camp.
KRU continues to place emphasis on developing a strong national player pool while providing opportunities for emerging players to progress through the pathway and compete at the highest level.
