The fourth edition of the 2026 KRU Women’s 10 Aside Tournament came to an exciting close at the Impala Club, bringing together seven women’s teams from across the country in a thrilling showcase of talent, competition, and the continued growth of the women’s game in Kenya.

The tournament featured seven teams split into two pools, with Pool A consisting of four teams while Pool B had three teams. The day began with the pool stage matches played across three rounds, each round featuring three fixtures as teams battled for places in the semi-finals.

In Pool A, Pioneer Girls stamped their authority early with commanding performances throughout the group stage. They opened their campaign with a dominant 37-7 victory over NYS before overpowering TUM Marines 41-0 in their second fixture. Pioneer would then complete a perfect pool stage campaign with another emphatic 39-0 win over Hidden Talent to finish top of Pool A with an impressive 117 points scored and only seven conceded.

Elsewhere in the same pool, NYS managed to secure second place after drawing 5-5 against Hidden Talent and edging TUM Marines 7-0 in a tightly contested fixture. TUM Marines finished third while Hidden Talent settled for fourth place.

Pool B was dominated by Kiambaa Girls, who produced a flawless display in both of their matches. They began with a convincing 36-0 victory over Mwamba RFC before following it up with another commanding 31-0 win against Mbagathi Girls. Their strong attacking and defensive performances saw them finish top of Pool B with 67 points scored and none conceded.

Mbagathi Girls claimed second place in the pool after defeating Mwamba RFC 26-0, while Mwamba RFC finished bottom of the standings after two difficult outings.

The conclusion of the pool stages set up two exciting semi-final encounters determined by the final standings. In the first semi-final, Pioneer Girls continued their fine form with a disciplined performance to defeat Mbagathi Girls 17-0 and secure a place in the final.

The second semi-final saw Kiambaa Girls once again showcase their dominance as they thrashed Nairobi-based side NYS 48-0 to comfortably book their slot in the championship match.

The final between Kiambaa Girls and Pioneer Girls was highly anticipated after both sides enjoyed unbeaten runs through the earlier rounds. However, Kiambaa Girls proved unstoppable on the day, producing another clinical display to defeat Pioneer Girls 31-0 and clinch the fourth edition of the KRU Women’s 10 Aside title in style.
