The 2026 SportPesa National Sevens Circuit hits the road this weekend as attention shifts to the lakeside city of Kisumu for the 20th edition of the Dala 7s, set to take place at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium on 1st–2nd August 2026.

Beyond celebrating two decades of one of Kenya's most iconic rugby sevens tournaments, this year's edition will also mark a historic milestone with the inaugural women’s category at the Dala 7s.

With the circuit having kicked off in Nakuru last weekend, the pools are now set as teams prepare to battle for the second leg title.Prinsloo 7s champions KCB Rugby head into Kisumu in high spirits after lifting the opening leg and will be aiming to extend their winning run. They headline Pool A alongside MMUST RFC, Impala RFC and Zetech Oaks, who earned promotion to Division One after winning the Division Two title in Nakuru.

Pool B features Kenya Harlequin, KU Blak Blad, Menengai Oilers and MSC Rugby, with the Mombasa-based side making their first appearance of this year's circuit.In Pool C, Nondescripts RFC, Daystar Falcons, Mwamba RFC and hosts Kisumu RFC will battle it out, while Pool D brings together Kabras Sugar RFC, Nakuru RFC, Strathmore Leos and Embu RFC.

The inaugural women's competition will see defending circuit champions Mwamba RFC headline Pool A, where they are joined by Impala Roans, Kisumu Dolphins and Mwira Eagles.Pool B features Kiambaa Ladies, Kenya Harlequin, Kisii Polytechnic and Shamberere Viqueens.
The Division Two competition will also be in action with the pools drawn as follows:

Pool A: CUEA Monks, Kisii RFC, Sigalagala Polytechnic and JOOUST.

Pool B: NYS Spades, Western Bulls, Kisii Polytechnic and Busia Borderrucks.

Pool C: Kabarak University, Stallions Rugby, Siaya RFC and Rongo RFC.

Pool D: Northern Suburbs, Eldopoly Community, KCA University and Mbale RFC.

Fans can look forward to an exciting opening day of action, with standout fixtures including Kenya Harlequin's opening clash against Menengai Oilers, Nondescripts RFC taking on Daystar Falcons in the round three Division One games, before the curtain comes down with an exciting women's fixture between Mwamba RFC and Impala Roans.
