The 20th edition of the Dala7s came to a thrilling conclusion at the ASK Showground in Mamboleo, Kisumu, following an action-packed weekend that delivered memorable rugby in the second leg of the 2026 SportPesa National Sevens Circuit.
The knockout stages got underway with a series of captivating Main Cup quarter-finals. Defending champions KCB Rugby saw their title defence come to an end after a narrow 14-12 defeat to Kenya Harlequin. Kabras Sugar comfortably dispatched Daystar Falcons 29-5 to secure a semi-final berth, while Menengai Oilers powered past the newly promoted Zetech Oaks with a convincing 33-7 victory. Mwamba RFC claimed the final semi-final slot after edging Strathmore Leos 15-14 in one of the weekend's closest contests.
The semi-finals set up a highly anticipated final between rivals Kabras Sugar and Menengai Oilers in what was another fiercely contested Rai Derby. Kabras Sugar rose to the occasion, defeating the Oilers to lift the 2026 Dala7s title and claim their first victory of this year's National Sevens Circuit.
In the inaugural women's competition at Dala7s, Mwamba RFC enjoyed a remarkable campaign. They overcame Kiambaa in the semi-finals before producing another dominant performance in the final to defeat Kenya Harlequin and become the first-ever champions of the Dala7s Women's category.
The Division Two competition also provided its share of excitement, with Catholic Monks defeating Kabarak University in the final to claim the 2026 Dala7s Division Two title. The victory also secured the Monks an immediate return to Division One after suffering relegation at the Prinsloo7s just a week earlier.

With another successful edition of Dala7s concluded,teams will have a one week break before the caravan travels back to the capital on the 15th and 16th of August for the Kabeberi sevens.
