The Kenya Rugby Union has issued a public alert regarding an individual identified as Paul Mugambi, who is allegedly approaching rugby clubs, supporters, and well-wishers while falsely claiming to represent or work with the Union.
KRU wishes to clarify that Paul Mugambi is not an employee, representative, or authorized agent of the Kenya Rugby Union. Any requests for financial contributions, donations, sponsorships, or assistance made by the individual claiming to act on behalf of KRU should be treated as fraudulent.
The Union is urging all rugby clubs, partners, sponsors, and members of the public to exercise caution and remain vigilant when engaging with individuals seeking financial support in the name of KRU. Members of the rugby community are advised not to send money or share any sensitive information with persons claiming to represent the Union without first verifying their identity through KRU’s official communication channels.
KRU further advises the public to report any suspicious approaches or fundraising requests made under the Union’s name to enable appropriate action to be taken.
